Sunday night our church small group, "Saved To Serve", met for the last time of this season. We have been studying John Ortberg's video series "Get Out of the Boat". Our group surprised us at the end of the evening by surrounding Julie and I in a circle and praying over us for our Sea To Sea trip this summer. Petitions were offered for safety over the tour, and God's blessing on all of the tour's participants as we "get out of the boat" and take the church to the streets across the continent this summer.

My log of a trans-continental bicycle tour focused on raising awareness and monies to fight global poverty, one person, one family, one community at a time. Life "Cycles" - Retirement
April 26th I retired from fulltime employment at Lodeso Inc. Lodeso management took all the employees out for a lunch in honor of my retirement. Thanks, Lodeso management and co-workers for the kind words and the gifts you gave me. Tim and Carla planned the event and thanks to them. Tim, my boss, had his sister-in-law make a cake in my honor, in the theme of the Sea To Sea Bike Tour I am participating in this summer. Check out the photos of the fantastic cake design attached, complete with a paved road and center line, climb to the top, and the "finish line" at the top. It not only looked great, but tasted great as well.
I may be retired from fulltime employment, but am on to other things, like biking across the continent! I look to God for His leading in the next phases of my life "cycle".
