Sunday night our church small group, "Saved To Serve", met for the last time of this season. We have been studying John Ortberg's video series "Get Out of the Boat". Our group surprised us at the end of the evening by surrounding Julie and I in a circle and praying over us for our Sea To Sea trip this summer. Petitions were offered for safety over the tour, and God's blessing on all of the tour's participants as we "get out of the boat" and take the church to the streets across the continent this summer.

My log of a trans-continental bicycle tour focused on raising awareness and monies to fight global poverty, one person, one family, one community at a time.
